My pond tends to be murky - I struggle with a green tinge to my water. - If you do not have an aeration system in the pond, that is a good place to start. Aeration accelerates biological activity and helps to increase beneficial bacteria populations that break down nutrients. Nutrients are the limiting factor to algae growth - the source of the green tinge in the water. There are several methods of aeration including floating fountains, floating air injectors, bottom aerators, and constructed waterfalls.
