Pond Liners can be installed with soil or rock cover resulting in a "natural edge" appearance. This technique allows the pond margins to be vegetated and the pond to take on a completely natural appearance and function. A number of different types of liner material are available to meet various liner needs. Most of the common liner materials can be field seamed to line very large impoundments. The maximum single panel size for liner depends upon the material type and manufacturer. Multiple liner panels are field seamed together to create a liner system as large as the project requires. Properly installed pond liner will have a geotextile protective layer under the liner to protect from sharp objects in the soil. In some applications where signficiant fill material is to be placed over the liner, geotextile is also placed on top of the liner.
Bulkhead fittings and other specialty flashing material are used to create water tight pipe openings through pond liner.
Geotextile fabric is field stitched to create a continuous protective layer under the treatment pond liner. In this case, the geotextile is placed over a 2 inch sand layer for extra protection.
Individual 50'x100' pond liner panels are rolled out and aligned for seaming.
EPDM rubber Pond liner is prepared for field seam application.
